Title of Motion: Request from the College of Health Solutions– for the establishment of an Academic Unit – International School of Biomedical Diagnostics
Action Requested: The Curriculum and Academic Programs Committee recommends University Senate approval of a proposal submitted by the College of Health Solutions – for the establishment of an Academic Unit – International School of Biomedical Diagnostics
Rationale: The International School of Biomedical Diagnostics will be a global center for research, teaching and service in the emerging field of biomedical diagnostics. The ASU school will involve faculty from the College of Health Solutions, Biodesign Institute, School of Life Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, W.P. Carey School of Business, and the Consortium for Science, Policy & Outcomes, and will also leverage the expertise of the National Biomarker Development Alliance led by ASU.
