Title of Motion: Request from the Office of the University Provost – for the establishment of a new academic unit – Thunderbird School of Global Management
Action Requested: The Curriculum and Academic Programs Committee recommends University Senate approval of a proposal submitted by the Office of the University Provost – for the establishment of a new academic unit – Thunderbird School of Global Management
Rationale: To advance higher education in the state of Arizona and promote global leadership, ASU will establish the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Academic programs are designed to educate global leaders who create sustainable prosperity worldwide. The new School will sustain these objectives in a complementary manner with our existing W. P. Carey School of Business.
The focus will be on educating global leaders in the intricacies of international management. The academic programs are designed to educate global leaders who create sustainable prosperity worldwide.
