Title of Motion: Request from the Thunderbird School of Global Management – for the establishment of a graduate degree – Master of Arts in Global Affairs and Management
Action Requested: The Curriculum and Academic Programs Committee recommends University Senate approval of a proposal submitted by the Thunderbird School of Global Management – for the establishment of a graduate degree – Master of Arts in Global Affairs and Management
Rationale: This degree program was previously offered by the Thunderbird School of Global Management and will be offered as part of the Thunderbird School of Global Management (TSGM) at Arizona State University starting Fall 2015.
The MA in Global Affairs and Management incorporates global relations, political economy, area studies and cross-cultural communication. The degree prepares graduates to address complex issues in diplomacy, business and society. The graduates also bring an increased focus on social responsibility to their corporate employers.
