Title of Motion: Request from the Watts College of Public Service and Community Health Solutions - School of Community Resources and Development – for the name change of an undergraduate degree – from: BS in Parks and Recreation Management – to: BS in Parks, Recreation and Sport Management

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: We are proposing essentially merging two of our degrees, Parks and Recreation Management and Community Sports Management, into one degree: Parks, Recreation and Sport Management. The programs are quite similar and there is a great deal of synergy between them. Some small changes to one of the degrees is required. We feel that a somewhat more broad degree will be appealing to students.
