Title of Motion: Request from the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts – for the establishment of a new academic unit – School of Applied Sciences and Arts

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.

Rationale: Establishing the School of Applied Sciences and Arts will help realize CISA’s full potential at the Polytechnic campus and advance ASU’s goals for Poly’s expansion. It will also amplify partnerships with colleges/degrees at Poly (the Fulton Schools of Engineering, Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and W. P. Carey), especially around the New Economy Initiative.
