Title of Motion: Request from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – for the establishment of a new academic unit – School of Integrated Engineering 

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.

Rationale: In partnership with academic units on the West campus, the School of Integrated Engineering will: explore combinations of engineering with other in-demand disciplines to create unique degree pathways in business, technology, and sciences; build engineers prepared to solve complex problems and who understand the impact of engineering on society, and can influence those impacts; and provide a platform for engaging West Valley community, industry and government to provide new curricular and extra-curricular learning opportunities.
