Title of Motion: Request from College of Integrative Sciences and Arts – Dean’s Office – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – AA in Professional Studies

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The AA program in professional studies is a valuable credential that both prepares students for careers and provides a pathway to efficient completion of a bachelor's degree.

The program has four curricular tracks: STEM, health and life sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and humanities and fine arts. The curriculum of the professional studies program is designed to allow students to explore major and career options within a given curricular track.
