Title of Motion: Request from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences – School of International Letters and Cultures — for the disestablishment of an undergraduate certificate – Classical Studies

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The certificate has not proven to be popular, and many students initially interested in the certificate told us that they would prefer a minor. We are requesting to disestablish the certificate in favor of minors that match the two majors in the program: International Letters and Cultures (Classics) and International Letters and Cultures (Classical Civilization).
