Title of Motion: Request from Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BS in Robotics and Autonomous Systems

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: The BS in Robotics and Autonomous Systems aims to prepare students to fulfill the growing demand for entry-level positions and pursue careers in robotics and autonomous systems. Specifically, the students will learn to design robots, control them, operate and maintain them while understanding their use in industrial robotics, autonomous aerial vehicles, and swarm robotics.
