Title of Motion: Request from Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – Dean’s Office – for the establishment of a graduate degree – PhD in Robotics and Autonomous Systems
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The Robotics and Autonomous Systems Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program is designed to provide an opportunity for in-depth independent research in a highly focused problem domain approved by the student's advisory committee. This program is intended primarily for those desiring to develop expertise in a particular and focused problem in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, including both traditional and advanced Robotics and Autonomous Systems technologies, systems integration and data fusion techniques, and modeling/simulation development.
