Title of Motion: Request from College of Health Solutions – for the establishment of a graduate degree – MS in Biostatistics
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The Master of Science in Biostatistics is designed to provide training in applied biostatistical methodology and its applications to solve real-life problems in the health-related sciences. This master's program will offer comprehensive coursework covering statistical theory, data analysis, research methods, and their applications in the field of public health and biomedical sciences. Students will gain a solid foundation in statistical methods, study design, and data analysis techniques relevant to health-related research.
