Title of Motion: Request from the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts – School of Art  – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – AA in Fashion Styling

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The AA program in fashion styling is a distinctly professional, hands-on degree program that prepares students for an exciting career in fashion styling. Students learn key skills sought across the fashion industry such as flat and digital patternmaking and development, technical design, garment construction, merchandising, supply chain management, retail management and branding.
