Title of Motion: Request from the College of Health Solutions – for the name change of a graduate degree – From: MS in Science of Health Care Delivery – To: MS in Health Care Administration and Policy

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: Declining enrollment along with feedback from students, faculty and ASU Online indicate that the existing program name makes it hard to find and even harder to explain to prospective employers - despite its high value proposition. In renaming the program to “Health Care Administration and Policy,” the college has an opportunity to better promote our students entering the job market and significantly grow enrollment by using recognizable terminology in the program name and continuing to highlight the program’s value in the program description.
