Title of Motion: Request from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College – Division of Educational Leadership and Innovation – for the establishment of a graduate degree – MA in Interdisciplinary Education on Community Health and Wellbeing

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: This program will prepare graduate students for working in diverse educational settings (e.g., schools, community centers, adult educational programs) with a focus on health and wellbeing. It aims to provide individuals with knowledge and basic skills across numerous areas, that will increase their understanding and respect for all persons, develop creative and innovative systems-level thinking, reimagine health, physical activity and health programming.
