Title of Motion: Request from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences – School of Social and Behavioral Sciences – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Industrial and Organizational Psychology

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: Students completing the Industrial and Organizational Psychology graduate certificate will have a solid understanding of applications of psychological knowledge to the workplace as they build advanced knowledge and skills. The coursework emphasizes training and development, professional motivation, decision making, justice, leadership, and assessment within a variety of organizational contexts.
