Title of Motion: Request from New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences – School of Social and Behavioral Sciences – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Behavioral Data Science

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The Graduate Certificate in Behavioral Data Science offers an innovative blend of behavioral science and advanced data science methods. The program equips students with essential skills to translate human behavior into quantifiable data for deeper analysis. Through project-based learning, students learn practical skills, from data collection and cleaning to data visualization and model building, showcasing their ability to address practical challenges using behavioral data analysis.
