Title of Motion: Request from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences – School of Transborder Studies – for the establishment of an undergraduate certificate – Border Studies

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The certificate in Border Studies is a comparative and interdisciplinary program equipping students with the theoretical and practical knowledge to understand and contribute to the transformation of borders and transborder communities across nations.
