Title of Motion: Request from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences – School of Social and Behavioral Sciences – for the establishment of a graduate certificate –Psychological Science

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The Graduate Certificate in Psychological Science provides students with advanced exposure to the scientific foundations of psychology. Coursework engages students in core areas such as the history and scope of psychological science, research methodology and quantitative approaches, emotion, family dynamics, and advanced perspectives on positive psychology.
