Title of Motion: Request from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – Computer Science and Engineering Program, School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence – for the establishment of an undergraduate certificate – Foundations of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The foundations of computer science and artificial intelligence certificate program equips students with foundational knowledge and interdisciplinary skills to pursue careers in technology-driven fields. Developed in partnership with the U.S. Naval Community College, this program is tailored to support the educational and professional advancement of enlisted personnel in the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.
