Title of Motion: Request from the College of Health Solutions – for the establishment of an undergraduate certificate – Pre-Health

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The post-baccalaureate Pre-Health certificate is an innovative online academic enrichment program designed for non-science BA/BS graduates seeking to pursue advanced study in health professions such as medicine (MD/DO), dentistry (DDS, DMD), physician associate (PA), pharmacy (PharmD), podiatry (DPM) and optometry (OD). The program serves students who need to complete missing prerequisites, enhance their academic records or strengthen their competitiveness for admission to professional school.
