Title of Motion: Request from University College – for the establishment of an undergraduate certificate – with the revised title Work+Life Design and a revised assessment. 

The change from the original title Applied Learning and Professional Experience is editorial and does not alter the substance of the proposal.

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The Work+Life Design certificate is designed to help students develop valuable career-readiness skills through engagement and learning from meaningful opportunities.
