Title of Motion: Request from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences – School of Social and Behavioral Sciences – for the disestablishment of an undergraduate certificate – Diversity and Equity Studies

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: New College proposes the disestablishment of the Diversity and Equity Studies certificate due to sustained low enrollment since its inception. The certificate has not demonstrated sufficient student demand to support its continuation.
