Title of Motion: Request from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication – for the name change of an undergraduate degree – From: BA in Journalism and Mass Communication – To: BA in Journalism

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The proposed change removes "and Mass Communication" from the degree name. Proposed as part of the Cronkite School's comprehensive curriculum revision among multiple new degrees, this change reflects the modern media industry and creates equity across each mass communication discipline.
