Title of Motion: Request from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BAS in Manufacturing Systems
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The program is designed to be a 2+2 pathway to a 4-year Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Manufacturing Systems. Graduates of this program will be leading factory operations in high-tech factories with roles that support factory operations, factory maintenance, quality control in manufacturing, and field support operations for some of the most complex machines that operate in factories.
