Title of Motion: Request from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – Computer Science and Engineering Program – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: This microcertificate provides a comprehensive introduction to artificial intelligence (AI) through both theoretical foundations and practical applications. Students engage in a combination of lectures and collaborative, project-based learning to develop a deep understanding of core AI and machine learning concepts.
