Title of Motion: Request from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – Computer Science and Engineering Program – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Cybersecurity

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: Students in this graduate microcertificate program will develop essential cybersecurity skills through focused study in cryptography, network security, and software security. The curriculum offers courses in key areas such as information assurance, encryption techniques, data privacy, and secure network design, providing both theoretical foundations and practical applications.
