Title of Motion: Request from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences – School of Social and Behavioral Sciences – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Positive Psychology
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The Graduate Certificate in Positive Psychology provides students with a foundation in the rapidly growing field of positive psychology. Courses in this program emphasize the scientific basis of positive psychology across contexts. Thus, students will develop both foundational and applied skills in psychological science.
