Title of Motion: Request from College of Integrative Sciences and Arts – School of Applied Sciences and Arts – for the name change of an undergraduate certificate – From: Veterans, Society and Service – To: Military and Veterans Studies

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: The School of Applied Sciences and Arts is requesting a name change for this certificate program from Veterans Society and Service to Military and Veterans Studies. The name change will align this certificate more clearly with the Bachelor of Arts program in Applied Military and Veterans Studies. This name change aligns with the focus of the school's goals and more accurately describes the program and more clearly shows the connection to both military and veterans.
