Title of Motion: Request from Rob Walton College of Global Futures – for the name change of an academic unit – From: School for the Future of Innovation in Society – To: School of Innovation

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: This revised name more accurately represents the school’s focused mission and evolving identity — centered on the study, practice and advancement of innovation. The designation School of Innovation is clear, concise and strategically aligned with the unit’s core objectives to lead innovation processes, evaluate their impact, and shape the future through excellence in research, education and engagement.
