Title of Motion: Request from Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BA in Science Communication

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: The BA in Science Communication empowers students to translate complex scientific concepts into accessible content for mass audiences, advancing knowledge of public value by creating and engaging audiences around it.
