Title of Motion: Request from Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication – for the establishment of a graduate degree – MS in Media Production
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The Master of Science in Media Production offers advanced training in media technologies, creative storytelling and innovation. Students focus on producing live productions (news, sports and events); studio operations and control room technology; and real-time communication for TV, radio and digital platforms, nurturing skills in broadcasting technology and workflows, studio production and on-air presentation, audio production, media writing, and content performance analysis.
