Title of Motion: Request from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences – School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership – for the establishment of a graduate degree – MA in War and Strategy

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: The War and Strategy master's degree program is designed for senior military leadership. The Master of Arts in War and Strategy, offered in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership, provides a rigorous curriculum to prepare students for leadership in national security, military strategy, and global policy.
