Title of Motion: Request from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences – School of Politics and Global Studies – for the establishment of an undergraduate certificate – U.S. National Security and Intelligence Studies

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: This certificate is designed to meet the nation’s growing need for a skilled and diverse cadre of professionals capable of advancing U.S. national security priorities. The program will identify and develop qualified, competitive, and knowledgeable students who aspire to serve as intelligence and national security professionals.
