Standing Committees
Per the University Senate Constitution each elected Senate representative needs to be available to serve on one of the Senate’s standing committees. Annually, in the fall semester the University Senate Committee on Committees issues a preference survey to all the Senators to determine what committees they are most interested in serving on. The Committee on Committees then selects individuals to fill each of the standing committee open positions. All of the Senate’s committees are active and hard-working. If you have any questions in regards to estimated time commitments or serving on a standing committee, please contact the Senate office.

Submit an RFC
Requests for Consultation (RFCs) are action items submitted to the University Senate, typically reviewed by the UAC or a Senate committee. They may lead to motions voted on by the full Senate. RFCs can be submitted by anyone, including any member of the academic assembly.
