Request from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College - Division of Educational Leadership & Innovation - for the name change of a graduate degree - from: PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies to: PhD in Educational Policy and Evaluation


Action Requested:

The Curriculum and Academic Programs Committee recommends University Senate approval of a proposal submitted by the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College - Division of Educational Leadership & Innovation - for the name change of a graduate degree - from: PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies to: PhD in Education Policy and Evaluation


Rationale:

Removing Leadership from the title is appropriate in that there are no courses and no training in Leadership.  Rather, the emphasis, in line with the field is on evaluation and policy.
