Title of Motion: Request from the College of Health Solutions–School of the Science of Health Care Delivery - for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BS in Public Health
Action Requested: The Curriculum and Academic Programs Committee recommends University Senate approval of a proposal submitted by the College of Health Solutions – School of the Science of Health Care Delivery – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BS in Public Health
Rationale: Faced with the growing population, aging demographic profile and long-standing shortage of qualified personnel, the need for Public Health Practitioners in the U.S. continues to expand. The need for a qualified Public Health workforce is even greater on a global level.
