Title of Motion: Request from the College of Health Solutions – Dean’s Office – for the establishment of an undergraduate certificate – Health Science for the Peace Corps

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.    

Rationale: The certificate in Health Science for the Peace Corps is designed to give students who plan to apply for the Peace Corps a background in foundational areas of health care: cultural and social determinants of health, public and community health, U.S. and global health systems, and changing health behaviors.
