Title of Motion: Request from the School of Sustainability – for the name change of an undergraduate certificate – from Food Systems Sustainability – to Sustainable Food Systems

Action Requested:  This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.

Rationale:  The School of Sustainability is requesting to change the name of the undergraduate certificate in Food System Sustainability to Sustainable Food Systems to align with the names of the new undergraduate and graduate programs. This will allow the certificate to benefit from association with the Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems and increase the visibility of the program.
