Title of Motion: Request from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College – Division of Educational Leadership and Innovation – for the name change of a graduate degree – from: EdD in Educational Administration and Supervision – to: EdD in Learning Systems Leadership

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: The proposed name would signal a premier education doctoral program for administrators who bring education systems to the highest levels of performance. The program focuses on system-level skills often omitted from leadership programs: advanced data analysis appropriate for leaders, ethical decision-making in conflict, etc.
