Title of Motion: Request from Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College – Division of Teacher Preparation – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BAE in Elementary Multilingual Education

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: This BAE program in elementary multilingual education prepares students to become educators for linguistically and culturally diverse learners in grades K--8. Students have opportunities to specialize in several areas, including transborder and cultural studies, Indigenous education and Spanish.
