Title of Motion: Request from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – The Polytechnic School – for the establishment of a graduate degree – MS in Management of Technology

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The MS in Management of Technology degree prepares people with existing science, technology, engineering and mathematics backgrounds to lead in innovation, intrapreneurship, and complex management challenges in emerging and high-tech markets. This degree supplies graduates with knowledge of entrepreneurial skills, leadership management, and evidence-based decision-making methodologies; these competencies are used to apply cutting edge technology skill sets to solve complex and competitive problems in innovative industries, as well as enabling students to make an impact in the communities they serve.
