Title of Motion: Request from the College of Health Solutions – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Clinical Molecular Diagnostics

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The graduate certificate in clinical molecular diagnostics is for individuals who have completed their undergraduate degree and would like to upskill in the area of molecular diagnostics without completing a second degree. Students in this certificate program obtain a skill set that is in demand by health care organizations, the biotechnology industry and the public health arena.
