Title of Motion: Request from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College – Division of Educational Leadership and Innovation – for the name change of an academic unit – From: Division of Educational Leadership and Innovation – To: Division for Advancing Education Policy, Practices and Leadership

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: “Division for Advancing Education Policy, Practices and Leadership” better reflects the breadth of the already established four undergraduate and 11 master’s programs and the two new transdisciplinary master's programs. These programs include ones that focus on policy, environmental education and global education — and also educational studies and the MA in education.
