Title of Motion: Request from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences – School of Interdisciplinary Forensics – for the establishment of a graduate degree – MS in Forensic Science

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The MS program in Forensic Science at ASU is built on a solid understanding in biology, chemistry and criminalistics, which develops students' upper-level laboratory skills and research experience. Students complete holistic, rigorous coursework in the natural and mathematical sciences to adequately prepare for entering a competitive workforce.
