Title of Motion: Request from College of Health Solutions – for the establishment of an undergraduate certificate – Nutrition Education and Counseling

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: The certificate in nutrition education and counseling will provide students with the fundamental nutrition knowledge and skills required to work as Nutrition Associates within Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) facilities.
