Title of Motion: Revision of ACD 506-05: Review for Promotion: Fixed Term Faculty.    

Action Requested: This motion adjust ACD policy to reflect current language about faculty positions.

Rationale: In the last two years the Senate has adopted motions changing titles and conditions of faculty ranks. This motion would change the old title of “lecturer” to the current one of “teaching professor.” It would also reflect the new policy created by Motion 2024-91 in ACD 505–02: Faculty Membership, Appointment Categories, Ranks, and Titles which created new titles and promotion options for instructors.

Change “lecturer” to “teaching professor,” and add “instructor.”
