Title of Motion: Request from the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions – School of Community Resources and Development – for the name change of an undergraduate degree – From: BS in Recreation Therapy – To: BS in Recreational Therapy

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.

Rationale: Name change requested to align with certification requirements at the national professional organization, National Council for Therapeutic Recreation certification.  The proposed change for the degree is primarily a 'housekeeping' adjustment because it involves adding the letter 'al' to the word recreation in the title.
