Title of Motion: Request from the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts – School of Applied Professional Studies – for the establishment of an undergraduate certificate – Project Management Essentials

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.

Rationale: This 15-credit program will not only be applicable toward a Bachelor of Science in Project Management, but can also serve as a standalone certificate designed to equip industry leaders with the essential project management skills required for success in any project. The certificate will specifically target industry partners in the East Valley, as well as larger military partners from the Army, Navy and Air Force, helping them gain higher education credit for skill-based professions.
