Title of Motion: Request from the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts – Dean’s Office – for the rename of an academic unit – From: School of Arts, Media and Engineering – To: The GAME School

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: Changing the name of the School of Arts, Media and Engineering to The GAME (Games, Arts, Media, and Engineering) School reflects our mission to develop gaming degrees, certificates and programs while maintaining our leadership in Interdisciplinary Media Arts and Sciences undergraduate and graduate degrees and research.
