Title of Motion: Request from College of Health Solutions – Dean’s Office – for establishment of a new academic unit – School of Clinical Health Sciences
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The School of Clinical Health Sciences will bring together programs that prepare students to work directly with patients in diagnostic, rehabilitative and clinical care settings. By unifying disciplines such as medical studies, speech and hearing science, behavioral health, genetic counseling, and medical laboratory science, the school creates a clear academic home in the college for applied health professions grounded in hands-on training and translational research.
